A charming mid-19th-century watercolour by Charlotte Vawser (fl.1837-1875), depicting the legend of St George and the Dragon. Here Vawser has capture St George riding in pursuit of the terrorising beast, while the rest of the knights coward in the distance. The painting has been inscribed to the reverse with the artist's name, alongside a small label of biographical information. Presented in a crisp white mount and glazed gilt frame. Unsigned. On paper.
