A fine watercolour landscape by the Hon. Charlotte Somerville, after an original painting by Copley Fielding (1787-1855). In the foreground, the artist has depicted a cattle drover moving two of his herd passed a picturesque river with mountains. The watercolour has been well presented in a decorative gilt frame and slip, with intricate running pattern mouldings. The painting has been inscribed to the reverse with the artist's name. Unsigned. On paper.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and water damage to the surface. The picture frame is in a good condition with minor abrasion to the gilt. there are a few small losses to the frame mouldings, and the frame's dust seal is damaged to the reverse.
