Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and yellowing to the varnish. Craquelure is present throughout the painting. Some paint loss, mainly to the edges. Inspection under UV light shows some signs of minor restoration.

Artist Biography
Charles William Pittard exhibited at the Royal Academy of Art in the years: 1881, 1883, 1884, 1885, 1888, 1903 and 1904.
