A fine and detailed late 19th Century work in oil by the listed English artist Charles James Parry (1824-1894). The scene depicts a landscape view with a small wooden bridge and a female figure. Artist Biography

Charles James Parry (1824-1894) was an English painter born in London, primarily of landscapes. The son of David Henry Parry the Elder, he was a businessman in Manchester, but painted as an amateur. He exhibited interesting landscapes in London at the Royal Academy and in the Suffolk Street Gallery.
