A very fine and atmospheric oil on canvas board by the late 19th Century artist Charles Edward Roe. Entitled 'Snowdon', this mountainous setting captures well the spirit and expansive qualities of the Welsh natural landscape. Through the use of carefully layered brushwork, the artist has produced a handsome and interesting composition. Well-presented in a gilt wooden frame, as shown. In very good condition overall, for a picture of this age. Some minor surface discolouration. Scuffing to the corners of the frame, with some very minor losses to the moulding.
