A pencil study of a young nude satyr playing a flute. He is leaning against a tree, which is draped with an animal skin. This iconographic type is found in numerous exemplars; however, this sketch most closely resembles *Satyre Fluteur* in the Louvre, Paris. Well presented in a gilt-effect frame. Unsigned. On paper.Condition
Discolouration and slight wrinkling to the paper, most notably to the upper right. Two small tears to the left and upper margins. Marks and scuffs to the frame.
