Description
A charming mid 19th century oil by Henry Watson, after Henry Liverseege (1802-1832). The artwork depicts an encounter between a young boy and a local resident, as the boy attempts to flog his pheasants. Signed and dated to the lower right. On canvas laid to board on stretchers.Condition
The artwork has undergone previous restoration work, notably a canvas repair to the upper right. The condition is typical for a picture of this age, including some discolouration to the varnish and craquelure to the surface. There are some scuffs to the painting and wear to the edges of the board.
