A very fine early 20th century watercolour study of two young children. Both are handsomely dressed in their Sunday best, the young girl in a pretty blue dress and her brother in a sailor suit. The artist has wonderfully captured the pair holding small mementos, possibly symbolic of their father's Naval occupation during World War I. The study is well presented in a gilt effect oval frame with gilt effect mount. Signed. On watercolour paper.
Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and foxing. With marks to the mount at the lower edge. Minor scuffs to the frame.
