Description
A quaint and charming portrait of a young brother and sister, who have just been blackberry picking. The boy carries a basket full of berries in the crook of his arm and a walking stick, used to pull tall branches downwards, under hit. His little sister clings close to his side in a pretty pink dress and beaded necklace. The children's faces hold a romanticism, typical of the era. The artist has signed and dated to the lower right corner. The painting is on wove laid to board. On wove laid to board.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and dirtying to the surface. There is an area of brown flecks in the lower left and right corners.
