Description

A very fine watercolour study by the Italian painter Achille De Dominicis (1851-1917). Here the artist has depicted a pretty young Italian woman, she is seated on a stone wall as she looks out to sea. The fine brushwork and warm colour palette are typical of De Dominics style, and this charming sitter is wonderfully captured by the artist. Well presented in a birds-eye effect frame with gilt effect detail. Signed and dated. On watercolour paper.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some minor discolouration. There is some minor foxing. Scuffs to the frame. Overall the condition is very good.
