Description

A fine early 20th Century oil view of the original suspension bridge in Queen's Park, Chester. The bridge was demolished and rebuilt, starting in 1922. This was likely painted shortly before the demolition. The artist has signed to the lower right corner. On re-lined canvas.

Condition

The canvas has been fully re-lined, causing some discolouration. Inspection under UV light reveals some areas of restoration.
