Description

A painting of a farrier shoeing a Clydesdale in an old forge. Presented in an ornate gilt-effect wooden frame with swept corners and a linen slip with a gilt-effect inner edge. There is a certificate of authenticity from Man of Ross Gallery, Ross-on-Wye, attached to the verso that includes the title and date. Signed to the lower-right edge. On canvas on stretchers.

Condition

In fine condition. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration.
