The artist has applied a very subtle light brown wash across her hair to add slight warmth and tone to the portrait which lifts her complexion, making her skin stand out between her hair and dress, as though made of perfect alabaster.
This remarkable portrait is unsigned, on wove and presented in a rustically aged gilt slip. The overall object is very attractive.
