Artist Biography
Little-known Sheffield born painter who studied at Sheffield College of Art, 1920-26 and was President of the Sheffield Society of Artists, 1947-48. He showed at the RA, Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, Manchester Academy of Fine Arts and his work is in the collection of Sheffield Art Gallery. According to Who's Who in Art, he was a member of FIAD in 1943. What this probably means is that he was a Fellow of the Society Industrial Artists and Designers.
