A rather interesting and unusual surrealist landscape study, signed by the artist Brown, depicting a rural water pump with machinery. The bright pink flooring contrasts with the white stucco structure, adding a dramatically geometric component to the surrounding naturalistic setting. Signed to the lower right corner, and dated '29'. On canvas board.
Condition
In good condition overall, for a picture of this age. There is some minor paint loss to the left edge and upper right corner, and some surface marks around the edges. Scuffing to the corners.
