Bill Toop RI MCSD AOI (b.1945) is a watercolour artist who has been based in Dorset for most of his life. He attended the Bath Academy of Art and in his early career was a model maker and architectural illustrator for Salisbury Council. Alongside this and his work as an artist, he became a model and costume maker for the BBC and was involved with many programmes, including Doctor Who. In 1978, Toop left the council and became a full-time artist and was soon elected to the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour. He is also a member of the Association Of Illustrators and the Chartered Society of Designers. Toop's paintings can be found in many collections around the world, including that of the Sultan of Oman.
