Barrington Bramley after Caravaggio - Contemporary Oil A Musician (Conjurer)

An exquisite copy of the original painting by Cecco del Caravaggio (b.c.1589) by the renowned copyist, Barrington Bramley. Bramley's copies are highly sought after due to their immense skill and closeness to their original counterpart. This particular copy is no exception. A truly impressive size, the painting has very fine detail in the still life composition on the table and a wonderful delicacy in the feather and translucent ruff at the minstrel's neck. The painting and frame are in pristine condition. Barrington has signed to the lower left corner and the painting has been handsomely presented in a contemporary gilt frame with swept and pierced rail and corners with foliate detailing.
