Austin Blomfield - Original 1963 Coloured Pencil. View of the Tour de Magne in Nimes. Signed, titled and dated lower right. With wash. Signed and dated. On wove. Condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration.

Austin Blomfield (1895-1967) was a British architect who was the son of renown architect and designer Sir Reginald Blomfield (1856-1942). They were in practice together and Austin Blomfield continued the firm after Sir Reginald Blomfield's death in 1942.

From a family archive of sketchbooks and works containing graphite sketches, watercolours and studies of architecture and landscapes by the British architect and designer, Sir Reginald Blomfield RA (1856-1942), and his son Austin Blomfield (1895-1967).
