An impressive 19th century English School watercolour, attributed to Alfred H. Green (fl. 1844-1878), with a monogram to the lower right which fits other monograms on record for this artist. The painting depicts a shepherd with his cattle in the Scottish Highlands. Beautifully presented in a gilt frame with leaf and berry corner decoration and a brand new cream mount. On wove.Condition
In excellent condition. The frame has some wear and restoration, but the appearance is very good.

Artist Biography
Alfred H Green was a renowned Victorian landscape painter born in Birmingham. He exhibited twelve works at the Royal Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery between 1844-78 and further works at the Royal Academy and British Institution, London.
