A delicate Victorian watercolour, titled Mother & Child. The unfinished study depicts a seated mother and her young son looking down at the ground. With provenance also written to the reverse, 'Bought Sotheby's, 7 May 1958. Presented in a new oval mount and gilt-effect frame. On paper.
Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration to the watercolour and light wear to the frame. There is a small chip to the right-hand rail.
