A dramatic 17th century gene scene in watercolours, caught in the manner of British artist Albert Leicester Burroughs (1881-1916). Presented in an elaborated gilt and swept frame with foliate ornamentation. The detailed composition bears the artist signature to the lower left corner, however we don't not believe this to by the artist's hand. On paper.
Condition
The gilt frame shows signs of wear with moulding losses to the top and right-hand rail. The watercolour itself is in good condition.
