The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and light foxing. Very minor marks to the mount and small scuffs to the frame.

Painter, born at Henbury near Bristol. Fedden studied at Herkomer Art School, Bushey, at the Académie Julian, Paris and in Spain. Fedden exhibited at the Venice Biennale, Walker's Gallery, FAS, Paris Salon, RA, RGI, Walker Art Gallery, RBA, RWA, the latter two societies having elected him a member. He also exhibited at other London venues, as well as abroad and lived in Paris near the Seine where he painted and fished. An exhibition of his work was staged posthumously at the Parkin Gallery in 1976. Examples of his work are in the collection of the V&A and Sunderland Art Gallery. His niece was the painter Mary Fedden.
