Antonio Calvo Carrion was an artist who was born in Andalusia, Spain. He studied drawing at the School of Arts and Crafts in Seville and later entered the Superior School of Fine Arts in 1940 until 1945.
His work was greatly influenced by Universalism and its manifesto. In 1952 he was invited to participate in the First Hispano-American Art Biennial in Madrid. That same year he obtained first prize in the Spring Contest sponsored by the City Council and the Museum of Modern Art of Palma de Mallorca.
After several individual exhibitions, he was selected by the National Commissioner for Fine Arts to attend the First Alexandria Biennial.| SKU | rt817 |
