Painter in oil and watercolour who is a member of the East Anglian Group of Marine Artists. Bedford-born, King studied at Hornsey College of Art and at the RA Schools, where he received the David Murray Landscape Award. He paints mainly marinescapes plein-air in East Anglia, France, Italy and as far afield as Egypt. Examples of his work are in the collection of the House of Lords. A member of the ROI, King has also shown at the RWS, NEAC, RI and is a member of the NS. King had a first solo show at Luton County Council Library in 1978 and from 1982 showed annually at Thompson’s Gallery, Aldeburgh; with one at A & K Wilson Gallery, Harpenden, 2001.
