From a very large collection of works by Alexander Blackwood. 86 fine and highly detailed pen and ink drawings, 43 watercolour drawings and 4 oil paintings. We also have several book plates reproducing drawings by Blackwood. We know nothing of the artist. The works were found in Cornwall. Most were foxed and dirty when found and have been cleaned. Most are monogrammed AB, some are inscribed and a few are dated in the 1890's.
