A fine etching by the well listed British etcher Albany E. Howarth ARE, titled 'The Door of the Old Ashmolean'. Depicting the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, this etching expertly combines an architecturally accurate study with an artistic impression of the history of the building.

Provenance: Abbott & Holder, Museum Street, London (old label to the reverse). Well presented in a cream card mount and simple gold frame.

Signed. On wove.

Condition

Overall the appearance is very good. Minor undulations to the sheet, which could be resolved by re-fixing the etching to the mount. Frame is in good condition.
