A fine 20th Century oil copy of the original portrait by Van Dyck, painted in 1627. The artist has captured much of the naturalistic light and hyper real detailing of the original painting. The portrait is unsigned and presented in an incredibly elaborate 20th Century gilt frame with large swathes of foliate detailing and scrolling acanthus leaf molding, boasting swept corners and rail. On canvas.
Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There is some wear and thinning to the paint. The frame has some cracking to the molding but no losses.
