A wonderful copy of Peter von Hess's oil painting, 'Morning in Partenkirchen'. This romantic scene depicts toil among neighbors at the foot of Germany's highest mountain, the Zugspitze. The oil does justice to the breathtaking views and Bavaria charm of this idyllic location. Beautifully housed in a contemporary gilt and ebony frame with bead-course and tulip mouldings. Unsigned. On canvas laid to board.

Condition

There is a crazed effect to the surface of the oil. Otherwise in fine condition with no signs of restoration.
