Description
A fine oil portrait of a young boy, with charmingly curled hair, resting his hand on an apple. The painting is after the original portrait by Jean-Baptiste Greuze (1725–1805). The painting has been presented in a contemporary gilt effect frame with swept rail and corners and an inscribed gilt slip. On canvas.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including heavy discolouration. There are three visible repairs to the canvas, two at the top edge and one on the child's hand. There is some wear to the paint in the lower right corner. The frame is in fine condition.
