After Jean-Antoine Watteau - Framed 1981 Oil The Delicate Musician

Description

A late 19th century copy of The Delicate Musician after Antoine Watteau (1684-1721). Painted by creative art student, Grace Grafton, whilst visiting the Louvre in 1891. The portrait is signed to the lower right-hand corner. Well presented in a stained red and gilt frame with bead course and laurel branch running pattern. Inscribed to the reverse is historical provenance relating to the painting.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some varnish discolouration and craquelure to the surface. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration.
