An atmospheric watercolour copy of an engraving by Edmund Thomas Parris. The original engraving was an illustration from Marguerite Gardiner Countess of Blessington's 'Gems of Beauty', an 1836 collection of twelve poems, each named after a gemstone and accompanied by an engraved illustration by Parris. Well presented in a wooden frame. Unsigned. On paper.

The artwork is in very good condition. Marks and scuffs to the frame. Small imperfection to the glass on the left-hand side.
