Description

A charming copy after Spanish artist Bartolome Esteban Murillo (1618-1682), the original of which is held by the Alte Pinakothek in Munich. Although Murillo is best known for his religious paintings, here he turns his attention to the poverty he saw in his native Seville. In the scene, a young girl and boy count their earnings from selling fruit. Well presented in a vintage wooden frame. Bears a signature to the lower left. On metal.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. Warping to the metal along the lower margin. Marks and scuffs to the frame.

Size
