A fine hand coloured engraving by William Wynne Ryland (1732-1783) after Angelica Kauffman's stipple engraving of the same design. The scene depicts the mythological story of Venus presenting Helen to Paris after his retreat from combat with Menelaus. The scene has been composed in a circular design, with both artists and publisher's names inscribed to the lower margin. Well-presented in an elegant gilt-effect frame with delicate bead course. On paper.

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some age related discolouration and staining to the print.
