Description

A pair of late-18th or early-19th century engravings, one titled 'Titley Abbey Essex', and the other 'The Tower Gateway of Layer Marney House, Essex'. The former is inscribed 'Sparrow' in plate to the lower-right edge, likely Samuel Sparrow (fl.1770-1806). The latter is by J.C. Smith after James Baynes (1766-1837), inscribed with the names of both artists in plate to the lower edge along with the detail 'Sketch'd by S. Prout , Sept. 1804, for the Architectural Antiquities of Great Britain'. On wove.

Condition

Both are cropped within the plate lines and have some minor foxing and discolouration.
