Description
A charcoal drawing with watercolour details of a lady sat painting at an easel. The portrait has an unusual and affectionate informality, perhaps suggesting that the artist was a relation of the sitter. Presented glazed in a blue mount with gold detailing and a distressed gilt-effect wooden frame. Initialled and dated to the lower-right corner. One of a pair, the other depicting a man sat at a writing desk who is possibly the husband of this sitter. On wove.Condition
There is some slight discolouration and some scuffs to the frame. Overall well-presented and in very good condition for a picture of this age.
