This vibrant still life captures a generous bouquet of golden yellow forsythia blossom arranged in a dark vase, set upon a wooden surface alongside decorative vessels and scattered petals. The composition is anchored by a large window that floods the scene with natural light, whilst reflecting glimpses of the verdant garden beyond. The painting is well presented in a silver and gilt-effect frame with a light grey velvet slip. Signed 'Destordeur' lower right and dated 1971. Titled, signed and dated verso. On canvas on stretchers.
Condition
The painting is in very good condition with no signs of restoration. Light wear noted to the wooden frame and a scuff mark to the velvet slip (top rail near centre).
