This detailed watercolour depicts the hustle and bustle of market day in The Grand-Place of Brussels. Renowned for its ensemble of seventeenth-century architecture, the cobble square can be seen full with colourful fruit stalls shaded by impressive white parasols. The watercolour has been initialled by the artist to the lower left and dated 1926. Well-presented in a gilt-effect frame with card mount. On watercolour paper.
