A large and interesting interior scene depicting four gentlemen. A bartender serves three well dressed men beer in large glasses as they smoke and converse. The composition is very well painted and is clearly inspired by the Dutch interior scene of the Golden Age period. Wonderfully presented in an ornate, decorative gilt effect frame. Signed indistinctly, On canvas on stretchers.
Condition
Overall the condition is very good. Inspection under UV light reveals no signs of restoration. Minor areas of surface dirt. Frame is in very good condition.
