A delicate architectural watercolour showing the Pavlovsk Palace in the snow. Pavlovsk Palace is an 18th-century Russian Imperial residence built by the order of Catherine the Great for her son Grand Duke Paul, in Pavlovsk, within Saint Petersburg. The artist has signed indistinctly and dated to the lower right corner. The painting is presented in a gilt effect frame with glazing and a wash-line mount. On watercolour paper.
Condition
There is a small amount of debris trapped behind the glazing but the painting and frame are in otherwise fine condition.
