An original 19th-century botanical study from 'Köhler's Medicinal Plants', a German herbal published in the later half of the century. Unsigned. Inscribed to the lower margin. Well presented behind glass in a gilt frame with delicate beading to the inner rail. Purchased with a companion piece which is also for sale on our website (st117). On paper.Condition
The condition is typical for an artwork of this age, including discolouration and light foxing to the paper. There is a water stain to the lower left and further stains to the corners. Small tears to the edges of the paper. Some dirtying to the mount, particularly to the lower left. Minor wear to the frame, including scuffs and scratches.
