A very fine 20th Century oil in a wonderful imitation of the nautical scenes of the 19th Century. This oil is very finely executed with wonderful minute detail and a sense of true drama and atmosphere. Crowds of families and friends gather excitedly on a wooden jetty, to greet the return of a large ship on the choppy waters.
