An extremely fine example of a 19th Century gilt frame with high relief beaded strap work, lozenge edging and delicate foliate and floral swags. Finished with an arched oval mount and presented in the original Victorian glazed mahogany box frame, the interior cove lined in worn gold velvet. There is an over painted photograph of a lady in a window in the frame.
There is some aging to the velvet. The internal gilt is in fine condition. Some minor splitting to the upper left and lower right corners.
