Original 19th Century Oil. An unsigned oil painting on wood of a Dutch girl with a windmill. In a very attractive frame. Unsigned. The framing is unusual because there is a glass window on the back to reveal some old paper. I'm not sure of the purpose of this as the painting appears to be on wood, not paper - perhaps they thought the marks on the paper gave a hint to the artist? I haven't dismantled the frame to try to figure this all out . As a result, I'm unsure of the age of this. It might be 19th century but it might not be very old at all - I just can't tell. It's quite a good painting and the framing is excellent. In fine condition.
