A delightful early 20th-century study of a jockey and his horse, completed in fine detail with vivid flat colours that lend this work its distinctive character. There is a further study of the jockey verso. Initialled J.G. and dated to the lower left. Inscribed verso. Beautifully presented in a substantial frame, finished in a complementary forest green. Light abrasions and surface debris throughout. Overall this artwork is in fine condition for its age. The frame has a distressed quality to it, with some minor marks and chips observed. Overall the frame is in very good condition.
