A late-18th century hand-coloured stipple engraving depicting a genre scene titled 'Courtship'. Presented in a blue card mount and a distressed gilt-effect wooden frame. The title is inscribed in plate and exposed through a window at the lower edge of the mount. Any further details at the lower edge are obscured by the mount. On wove.
Condition
There is some discolouration and some small areas of loss to the surface of the engraving in the lower half. There are some mild scuffs to the frame and slight marks to the upper-right corner of the mount. Overall well-presented and in good condition.
