Despite its small size, this finely painted miniature landscape possesses a grandeur and atmospheric character reminiscent of the idealised landscapes of Claude Lorrain and J.M.W. Turner. Condition
Areas of fine craquelure. Inspection under UV light reveals areas of overpainting. Overall, the artwork is in very good condition for its age. The frame is in good condition with only minor scuffs and marks.
