1891 Oil - Woodland Path with Stags

Description

A finely detailed woodland scene, with ancient trees, a path and three stags in the distance, possibly monogrammed 'J.G.'. The artist has depicted gnarled tree trunks in the realist style, while maintaining a sense of the winter season. Dated '91. Unsigned and dated. On board.

Condition

There is some mount burn and adhesive marks around the edge of the picture. Otherwise in fine condition, as shown.
