Artist Biography
Painter and embroiderer, born, educated and lived in Tunbridge Wells. She attended Tunbridge School of Art, also furthering her studies at Regent Street Polytechnic School of Art. Showed at Royal Institute of Oil Painters, Pastel Society, Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours, Society of Women Artists. She was a member of Tunbridge Wells Art Club. Her husband was an architect, Clement Smith, and Winifred adopted Clement as part of her surname. A painting by her is in the collection of Brighton and Hove Museums and Art Galleries.
