Description

A fine 18th century hand coloured mezzotint by William Ward, after a painting by George Morland (1763–1804). Depicted in this farm scene are three peasant figures gathered around a barn, with a pig, cow and two donkeys. Published in 1792 by T. Simplon, St Pauls Church Yard. Inscribed with the names of the artists in plate to the lower edge. Presented in a substantial black frame, with inner gold slip detail. Glazed.

Condition

The condition is typical for a print of this age including some discolouration. Signs of wear and tear to the frame to include light marks, scuffs and scrapes.
