An atmospheric watercolour painting by British artist William Tatton Winter (1855-1928). The scene depicts a pastoral landscape with a distant flock grazing before a windmill. Signed 'Tatton Winter' to the lower left. Well presented in a fine gilt and swept frame with elaborate corner and centre ornaments. On paper.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. Several small moulding losses and repairs made to the gilt frame with stable cracking on all members.

Artist Biography
William Tatton Winter was a watercolour painter of the natural world. Many of his paintings faithfully represented nature, such as moorland scenes, heaths and parks. He was especially interested in the effects of weather upon the environment and, in particular, wind.
